HOW WE WORK

The League is a nonpartisan organization. We do not endorse candidates. We do take stands on issues after careful study and reaching member consensus. Our stand on issues is strengthened by our nonpartisanship.

The League of Women Voters' positions on governmental issues at all three levels (local, state, and national) is determined through study and member consensus, concurrence, or through the application of the League's Principles. (See LWVUS Principles.)

Among other programs, some of which are offered on an annual basis, the Weston League also organizes public events and/or 'Community Conversations' on the topics underlying its positions, as well as on other governmental and community concerns, and seeks to influence opinion through its presentations and civil, open dialogue.
